Making Muffins
This is a common sight in our kitchen. Bella LOVES to sit up on the counter and help with everything I do. Making muffins is one of our favorite activities. We each have our own "scooper" and we take turns putting the batter into the muffin stone...luckily, her aim is improving since we first started. :)

Proud Mama Moment
This week, Bella came to me with her empty crayon box in hand and told me,
So we flattened it together and put it in the appropriate drawer (click here). It was such a proud moment for me. :) My sweet little recycling baby.
"I need to recycle this!"

Smoothie Smile
Bella LOVES smoothies. Especially blueberry & banana smoothies. They're a little messy...but it's such a great way to get her vitamins and fiber. She even loves the "green smoothies" with kale in them. She's definitely my child. For this particular moustache, we start with frozen bananas...add frozen blueberries...add some almond milk...and some flax oil...and press the button! Delicious.

Creative Play
Everyday, I try to engage Bella in some creative play. Once she gets started...she will sometimes be busy for 1/2 hour all by herself. When I was a child, we didn't have to even think about "creative play"...but toys and playtimes have changed since then. Now, you can buy toys that do everything for you...make all the noises, move around in circles, tell you what to do, etc. In our house, we only have toys that require some sort of imagination to play with them. We have almost no plastic toys...opting for wood or cloth instead. And you definitely won't HEAR any electronic toys at our house.
Bella's favorite toys are her playsilks (seen above as they provide a cushy bed for her dolly), her wooden food, and her musical instruments. It's so much fun to see her create scenarios and imagine all kinds of fun things to do...her mind is growing before my eyes!
